My thoughts on photography
I started out as an event photographer, and event photography is about riding the chaos; it's about figuring out a thousand things that can possibly go wrong, planning for all of them, and then thinking on the fly when thing number one thousand and one happens forty seconds before the most critical moment of the event. Photography is about about talking to people, making them feel comfortable and understanding lighting and positioning and angles. It's about explaining why an outdoor shoot at noon is not the best idea and making the best of the situation if no other time will work. It's about countless things more important than what type of camera you are using.
...and as a professional photographer one of the most important skills to have is being able to articulate this concept to someone before their uncle ruins their wedding photos.
